Keep well away from large vessels in Southampton Water
A good day out with plenty of wind. The spring tide meant that there were lots of large (if not huge) vessels to keep out of the way of as the huge high tides bought them into Southampton in a continuous stream. VTS on Channel 12 was the busiest I have ever heard it!
The day went well; we managed to rip the No1 Genoa putting it up on the return trip so we thought we would try the No2 instead!
Everyone had a chance to helm and navigate if they wished. The day finished at about 1700 once the yacht had been put to bed.
